You’ll work with a counsellor trained in chronic illness, meet every two weeks by phone or video, and receive ongoing support from the same person over time. As your needs change, you can move between support levels and add clinical therapy whenever deeper care is needed.
Clea offers two membership options: Clea Care and Clea Care+.
You’ll meet with the same counsellor every two weeks by phone or video. This steady rhythm is designed for chronic illness - sustainable, supportive, and low-energy friendly.
Both Care and Care+ include fortnightly counselling. Care suits steadier periods, while Care+ offers more access during flare-ups. You can switch between plans anytime.
Therapy is an optional add-on, separate from your membership.
Sessions are with psychologists experienced in chronic illness, booked individually, and often eligible for Medicare rebates. Therapy can be added anytime with Care or Care+.
Yes, you can reschedule with 48 hours’ notice. Sessions missed or cancelled within 48 hours may be forfeited for that fortnight.
Clea is designed to be flexible. You can move between Care and Care+ anytime, add or pause therapy as needed, and cancel your membership at any time via email or your counsellor (effective from the next billing cycle). Your support should adapt to your life - not the other way around.
Once you sign up, we’ll contact you within 24 hours to arrange your free first session. You’ll be matched with a counsellor trained in chronic illness and receive everything you need to get started.
Yes. You can pick whichever feels most comfortable before each session. You’ll receive a secure link with instructions through the Clea platform.
Clea is designed for people living with chronic, long-term, or invisible illness who want consistent, ongoing mental health support - not one-off appointments.
Your first session is free, so you can see if it feels right before continuing.
If something comes up between sessions, you’re not on your own. You can message your counsellor for support, move to Care+ for more responsive access, or add therapy if you need deeper clinical care. Your support can step up when your needs do.
Yes. All sessions follow strict privacy and confidentiality standards used in clinical practice.
Clea Care+ members receive short check-ins between sessions for flare-ups, updates, or emotional support. Messaging is not for crisis care or full therapy sessions. Replies occur during working hours.
Yes - it’s the core of our model. Every counsellor and psychologist at Clea understands chronic illness: pain cycles, pacing, fatigue, grief, uncertainty, flare-ups, triggers, and the emotional toll of long-term conditions.
Yes. If something isn’t the right fit, you can request a rematch anytime and we’ll support you through the change.
Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade between Clea Care and Clea Care+ anytime, and changes take effect from your next billing cycle.
If you miss a session without 48 hours’ notice, that session may be forfeited for the fortnight.You’ll return to your usual support rhythm at your next scheduled session.
Billing is every fortnight. Membership fees cover counselling; therapy sessions (if added) are billed individually. Refunds can’t be provided for unused or missed sessions if outside your cancellation window.
Yes - anytime. Therapy offers deeper clinical support from psychologists trained in chronic illness, and works alongside your existing membership.
Care+ members can message their counsellor for short support during a flare-up.If you need more in-depth time, you can bring your next session forward depending on availability.
