How ongoing support works

Your trial starts the moment you sign up. Your nurse will text you within 24 hours, with your first support call taking place during week one.

You’ll be connected with a dedicated Mental Health Nurse who stays in contact between appointments through regular check-ins, messaging, phone, or video support - with counselling available when deeper support is needed.

Clea is built specifically for the emotional realities of living with chronic illness, including migraines, endometriosis, chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome.

The Clea journey, step by step

How Clea works

Support that continues between appointments
Start your trial, choose your level of support, and get matched with a mental health nurse who stays with you over time.
1
Start your 7-day trial
Click Start your trial, fill in your details, and pick the tier you'd like to try - Connect, Care, or Care+. Your trial starts the moment you sign up. No waiting period, no scheduling gap.
2
Hear from your nurse within 24 hours
Your matched mental health nurse texts you within 24 hours of signup to introduce themselves. The relationship starts on day one.
3
Your intake call in week one
A 30-minute call with your nurse during your trial week - your condition, your care team, your goals, what support actually looks like for you. Phone or video, whichever suits.
4
Weekly calls and texts
After the trial, your nurse stays in regular contact between appointments - weekly calls and weekly texts. Message anytime in between. Response times: 48h Connect, 48h Care, 24hr Care+.
5
Counselling on Care and Care+
Regular counselling with a registered counsellor experienced in chronic illness, included in Care and Care+. Same counsellor each session. Notes shared with your nurse, so you don't re-explain your story.
6
Track your progress
Brief check-ins at 3 and 6 months. You see your results. Your nurse sees your results. Aggregated and anonymised, they shape our quarterly outcomes report.

The people behind your support

Registered Mental Health Nurse Alex leads Clea’s nursing team, with a strong focus on supporting people living with chronic illness.

Many of our nurses and care team members also live with chronic illness themselves - bringing lived experience, empathy, and a deeper understanding of the realities people navigate every day.

Some of the conditions we focus on:
Migraines & neurological conditions
Endometriosis & women’s chronic painllors are supported, not working in isolation
Chronic pain & fibromyalgia
Autoimmune conditions
Chronic pain & fibromyalgia
Chronic fatigue syndrome
Clea works alongside your existing healthcare team and is not a crisis or emergency support service. If you require urgent or emergency support, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or call 000.

Things people ask before they start.

How does the 7-day trial work? Sign up online, pick a tier, and your trial starts immediately. Your nurse texts you within 24 hours and you have a 30-minute call together in week one. No charge during the trial. Continue, switch tiers, or cancel at the end.

How fast will I hear from my nurse? Usually within 24 hours of signup, by text. Your first call is in week one of your trial.

What happens during a flare? Tell your nurse. We adjust the rhythm to where you actually are. We don't penalise you for not engaging when you're unwell - we expect it.

Do you take Medicare? The core membership isn't rebatable. Additional therapy via the Therapy Add-On is, with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.

Can I cancel? Anytime, just text your mental health nurse. If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep access until the period ends.
